Crock Pot Pulled Pork

Ingredients

arrow_right Pork shoulder, 5 lbs
 arrow_right Barbeque sauce, 1 cup
 arrow_right Beef stock, 2 cups
 arrow_right Salt, 1Tbls
 arrow_right Pepper, 2 tsp
 arrow_right Garlic powder, 2 tsp
 arrow_right Onion powder, 2 tsp

Cooking Instructions

COOKING
 Combine dry spices in a bowl
 Sprinkle spices on pork and rub it into all sides
 Rest for 10 minutes
 Drizzle oil all over pork and roll sear in pan. Move every 2 minutes on each side until it’s got a good sear all around
 Add to the stock, the barbeque sauce and mix to the slow cooker.
 Put pork shoulder in slow cooker and turn crock pot up to high.
 Cook for 6 hours, turning every two hours.
 Pull the bones out of the pork
 Take pork out of heat and let rest 15 min (reserve juices from crock pot)
 When ready to mix, double up on vinyl gloves so you don't burn your hands.
 Put pork in bowl and mash it up until it’s shredded.
 Thoroughly mix in the juices
 
 SERVING
 Serve on hamburger bun with cole slaw and hot sauce to taste.
